To celebrate Groundhog Day (2nd Feb) we are screening the 1993 comedy starring Bill Murray and Andie Macdowell – not once, not twice, but thre times in a row.
Buying a ticket gets you access to all three screenings, and we expect the audience to strap in for the long haul. This isn’t a cinema event, it’s cinema endurance! Expanded cinema meets performance art, in which the audience IS the central character. Inprmoise you the fiulm gets better and better each time you watch it.
PLUS – we’ll also be screening the short film sequel – Ten Thousand Years – by local artist (and cinema builder) Sam Meech, and written by Ross Sutherland of Imaginary Advice and Stand By For Tape Backup. What if Phil was trapped in Punxatawny for a long time after the first film apparently ended? What if Phil became god?
