Les deux amis s’organisent pour reconstituer la collection, avec l’aide de la communauté, avant le retour de voyage du propriétaire, Danny Glover. Parfois, raconter ses propres histoires est plus important (et plus amusant) que les films proposés.

Jack Black accidentally erases all the VHS films in local video store, causing caretaker manager Mos Def a huge headache. The two friends conspire to remake the collection, with help form the community, before owner Danny Glover gets back from his trip. Sometimes telling your own stories is more important (and more fun) than the films on offer.
